How To Style White Boots For Spring

From the ‘60s and the 80s to our current state of fashion, white boots have prevailed throughout the trend timeline. I’ve seen the white boots being styled season upon season and for good reason. A pair of white boots are the perfect wardrobe addition for when it’s time to pack the winter boots away and refresh your looks for the warmer months. I’ve never imagined myself rocking a pair of my own, but lately I’ve really been trying to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to my style, and these white Dr Marten boots were the perfect excuse.

There is something about a pair of stark, crisp white boots that is so striking. They’re super fun and eye-catching, and can really give a fresh feeling to any look. I plan to wear my white boots in a few fun ways throughout the season, but to start I styled them with my new fave mini dress from Alexander Wang. Styling a pair of chunky boots with either a mini dress, a skirt, or shorts is incredibly chic, and also great for elongating the legs and creating proportion.

In all of my looks, footwear tends to be where the attention is most drawn. I love these boots in particular because they are an updated spring version of the chunky badass boots that stole my heart all winter. They’re electrifying, and powerful. For accessories, I paired my white Telfar shopping bag and my cat eye sunnies from ASOS.

There are definitely more sophisticated variations of the white boot. Since i’m always running around the city I tend to stay away from heeled boots because I always go for comfort. If you fall into that same category, I’d definitely give these babies a go. Style them with a pair of jeans and a crisp white tee, or go for a more edgier look with a leopard print ensemble. I have many more looks to come with these, so check back on my blog throughout the spring and summer for more outfit inspiration. Thanks for reading!
