My Daily Morning Skincare Routine

For years, people have always asked me what my skincare regimen, what products I use--the whole 9 yards. Being that I'm a model (and a girl who has no clue how to do makeup) I always keep my everyday look very simple, focusing on maintaining a natural glow. I also have extremely sensitive skin; I break out in hives very easily so when it comes to my beauty routine--less is more.

While I'm always testing and trying new products, there are 6 main products that I always keep in my daily regimen. Categorically, they are face wash, moisturizer, BB cream, a brow pencil or pomade, mascara, and face mist.

The first thing that I do every single morning is start with a tall glass of ice water--18 oz to be exact. Why? After sleeping the night away, your body becomes dehydrated. Waking up with a cold glass of water instantly hydrates your skin and awakens your body and mind. It flushes out toxins, fuels your brain, and fires up your metabolism. Overall, its a great way to start your day and I can assure you that by making it part of your morning routine, you'll notice an incredible change in your skin.

The first part of my routine is washing my face. I'm currently using the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser and I'm in love. Thanks to it's natural ingredients, it's gentle enough for all skin types, and it leaves my skin looking radiant and refreshed. It retexturizes, buffs fine lines and wrinkles, and helps to even your complexion. If you tend to get lazy and wait til the morning to take off last night's makeup, it removes it with a breeze!

The key to keeping your skin fresh and moisturized is to apply lotion or cream immediately after washing. Being that my skin is so freaking sensitive, I'm always on the hunt for a moisturizer that has natural ingredients. Currently I'm using Graydon Skincare's Berry Rich Face + Eye Cream. What I love most about it is that it's fragrance free (very important to avoid moisturizers that have "fragrance" included in the ingredients label). It's an antioxidant moisturizer filled with berries; it keeps my skin soft and balanced, and it's got an incredible natural scent that's so soothing!

One of the most vital weapons in my arsenal is BB cream! This is the only product that I put on my face for everyday use--no concealer or foundation whatsoever. This is one of the largest components to my glowing complexion. It's lightweight with excellent coverage--it evens your skin tone, works as a concealer for pimples and dark circles, minimizes pores, and adds that extra layer of hydration. The list of benefits goes on and on, but if there is one product I recommend to add to your regular routine, BB cream is absolutely one of them.

Maybelline BB Pure

I've been growing out my brows for the past two years, so during this process I need to keep them shaped and clean without looking overdone. I stick to a pencil or pomade that specifies in creating a natural looking brow. Right now, I'm using Plume Science's brow pomade and I love the results. The pomade is 100% natural and cruelty-free (always a plus!) and made from excellent ingredients like castor oil, olive oil, and Vitamin E--to name a few. The antioxidants and nutrients in the pomade work to keep my brows conditioned, and the angled brush is perfect for shaping and filling.

Ah, mascara. Always overwhelming to shop for but once you find the perfect one, you feel victorious. I'm currently using Physician's Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit, and it serves the exact purpose that I'm looking for. The mascara works well by itself, but the fiber dip works to create natural extensions to my lashes! This mascara is free from harsh chemicals, it is very gentle on the lashes and easy to remove. A definite recommendation for a lightweight, easy to use mascara that gives great length and volume.

Lastly, (but certainly least) I finish my daily morning beauty routine with a great facial spray. I've found my holy grail--French Girl Cosmetics's Floral Toner. Some of you may be wondering why I don't use the cult-fave Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray-- it used to be a favorite of mine until I started breaking out in hives from it. *sheds tear* But, this floral toner is nothing short of amazing. Aside from BB cream, the ultimate secret to my clear, glowing skin is a great facial mist. It adds excellent shine and refreshes my skin with every use. It works great as a finishing spray as well as a prepping spray before applying makeup or for any other skincare ritual. This toner will be a repeat purchase for me.

That completes my daily morning skincare regimen! I hope it was helpful and informative! Natural beauty and skincare is something I've always been super passionate about--but I've held back from blogging about it simply because one, I'm no expert and two, I'm still learning a lot about different products and regimens in this ever changing industry. However, after much debate and a lot of positive feedback, I've decided to finally add beauty to my blog after fighting the urge for so long. It's time to unleash the secrets I've stowed away in my beauty arsenal! I truly want to thank my readers for pushing me to take this step--your support is what keeps me going! Stay tuned for more beauty!
